Going back to this blog is like reading a diary you haven't looked at in years. Almost like a time capsule for a few months.
To catch up,
-School stinks.
-Even though I'm acing every class.
-Which could be part of it.
-I'm now a Teen Ensemble-ette.
-The writers guild is on strike.
-Not that that has anything to do with my current lack of wittiness.
I should do this more often. Lists are fun

Day 2 and 3
DAY 2
We woke up, had sweet rolls, and read about a cougar in a jewelry store in the Plaza.
Then went down to Plaza. We bought stuff at the Hemp shop. I got a bumper sticker that says "What if the Hokey Pokey IS what it's all about?" and an emblem that's like a jesus fish that says Gefilte inside of it. Hehe. Also bought 4 buttons, but gave one to Cyn, cause she stayed home.
Cyn got sick. Like, barfing sick. We felt really bad, but DID NOT want to get sick. We slept outside after seeing 1 meteor, and watching a hilarious Monty Python.
DAY 3
Woke up feeling queasy. We went hiking to the Hot Springs, and it was so cool! We were in the pool that fed to all the other ones, and if you sat still long enough, you could feel it bubbling up around your legs. We got very germaphobic suddenly, because Cyn was STILL sick. Slept outside again. Not very comfortable.

Day 1 of NM
I'll start from the beginning.
I woke up at (*gasp*) 5:15, and we left for the airport at 5:45. We picked Gaga up at his house, and got to the airport around 7:00am. At the airport, after waiting in line 40 minutes to check my bag, I listened to the Police as I waited to board the plane. Also, dad and I listened to Gaga reminiscing on his college days. There was a seeing eye dog on the flight with us, and he was awesome. I bought a Blueberry muffin, a People Magazine, and a pack of Citrusmint gum. There was a guy in the airport with these colorful checker boots.
On the plane, I sat next to a girl with awesome pretty red hair. The ride itself was pretty boring, and REALLY cold. I was wearing a skirt, which, looking back, was NOT the smartest idea. I was a walking icecube. I listened to lots of music. The People was pretty disappointing though. I read Eclipse, by Stephenie Meyer, and it was great, but, one can only read about vampires for so long. Listening to the new Maroon 5 single reminded me of my cousin, Jennifer, because she likes their new album a lot. I have SO many Beatles songs on my iPod.
Jeez, they put SO much ice in the Coke I had. The flight was pretty bumpy... it was kinda weird. The plane made me claustrophobic. It felt really cramped... weird.
Met Ellie, Cyn and mom at airport. I was very emphatic and accidentally hit Ellie in the face. Oopsy. Lots of mountains and mesas in NM. There were bushes and briars everywhere. The clouds were SOOOO puffy! I loved it! I took a ton of pictures of clouds and mountains. We had lunch at a place called the Chocolate Maven. I had an egg and cheese sandwich and Ellie and I shared a grand petit fors. It was amazingly delicious. Then, we went to their friend Charlie's party, met Ellie's friends, Laura and Leny, and they're really nice. I ate a lot.
When we got home, before we fell asleep, Gato tried to escape out the window. It was hilarious!
I slept like a rock. A very, very tired rock.

Flying.
Tomorrow morning, early, I leave for New Mexico.
I'm flying down to see Ellie and her family, who go there for the summer every year since I can remember, except 1. I'm flying with her grandpa, Phillip, affectionately known as Gaga. How exactly am I supposed to leave "around six"? I barely can get up at 8! I suppose that since I'll be so excited it shan't be difficult, but I still worry.
I hope to update on the trip once I get there, but NO PROMISES.

Back From Hiatus
She's Baaaaaaaaaack!
We just watched "The Newsies". Possibly the best movie ever. I don't want your opinions on that because it is my very favorite movie, without contest, beating out even "Ocean's 11" and "A Knight's Tale". Don't ruin the magic.
Christian Bale is AMAZING. He dances, and even though he can't sing so well, he's still gorgeous.
That basically makes up for everything.
I forgot to mention how much I love music. I just downloaded onto my iTunes library some Jimi Hendrix, some Led Zeppelin, some Police (oh. yes.), some Carole King, some U2, some Allan Sherman, some Beatles, some Queen and some Bangles.
I love the Police.
I also love David Bowie and Elton John. And I really like dance music. Not so much Rap/Hip-Hop/Sugar-Pop-Hillary-Duff-Crap.
MUSIC!

SoDak
We're in South Dakota now, at Grandma's house. It's nice here, but TOTALLY shvitzy. We're waiting for M's and guest to arrive now.
We leave for the family reunion Wednesday, but it's only in Minnesota, like an hour away. It' going to be AWESOME!
Highlight of Trip So Far: All five (six, if Freddie Mercury counts) of us (Aunt Liz, Mom, Hannah, Sophia, and Me) singing Bohemian Rhapsody at the very top of our lungs.
It was fabulous.
More later.

Already Making Mistakes
Yep. I'm already making mistakes. I said i was going to end each post with a quote, or at least attempt to, and I have done so ONCE on my first post. Good to know some things never change.
Oh well. I don't know WHAT I'll do in High School if I'm forgetful like this.
And also, has anybody besides me noticed the overuse of Harry Potter analogies and such? It's time to bring it to an end! STOP THE MADNESS! What can ya' do, eh? I wonder if great writers and journalists started out with a lame little blog.
I have a joke for you!
So, a polar bear walks into a cafeteria, and he goes up to the cafeteria lady and says, "I'd like a peanut butter and...
...
...
..
...
...
...
...
..........
"Jelly sandwich." The cafeteria lady says, "Sure, but what's with the big pause?" And the polar bear says, "I dunno, I've had them all my life!!!"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I love that joke.
QUOTE!

Chocolate
I was watching the 3rd HP movie, right? And Lupin gives Harry some chocolate, right? So automatically, I'm forced to go eat some chocolate. Which reminds me of Ellie, which reminds me of New Mexico, which reminds me of my trip to go there, which reminds me of trips I'll be taking, which reminds me that, I LOVE PACKING, which reminds me of... Erm, sorry, the train of thought is closed for repair... Oh Jeez!
Sorry, just HAD to share this pointless piece of information with you, I was so hopelessly bored.
Aren't you glad I didn't say banana?

At Dad's Work
At the padre's work today. I think that eventually I am going to have to kill my sisters. They are playing Nintendogs ("Good Job, Amy! Yes! Good! Smooches!") and reading People ("Who the heck is Keri Russell? OMG! Orlando!") and I just CAN'T take it anymore! I will explode!
I have already rearranged the tea basket and it looks lovely, and I lit the watermelon candle. He needs some warm colors in this place, it looks much too cold. Luckily, these things can be changed.
Did NOT get a lot of sleep last night. Must leave now, the girls are starting a movie, "The Princess of Thieves" and I don't really want to watch.

Harry Potter.
Most of you know that the final installment in the Harry Potter series is coming out at 12:01 pm, this Friday/Saturday. As a faithful nerd, I WILL be attending the Hallow's Ball Bash at the local Barnes and Noble. Excited? Yes. Worried about being forced to stand in line for hours on end? Yup. but never fear, children, because the super-nice /super-hilarious customer service man let me in on a secret. They will begin to give out bracelets that determine your place in line at 9am. I plan on being there at 8:30am. I wish myself luck on this front, for this morning, I was up naught before 10:30. Luckily, my iPod serves as an alarm clock. Yuck.
Mom is getting back from Boston that day, so a nap may be difficult, but still possible. How ELSE am I going to be able to stay up all night/morning reading? Not that it should take too long, mind you, I am a particularly speedy reader. This could be a problem, seeing as Aunt Liz and I are leaving Sunday for southern most Dakota. Ah well, my sleep pattern will be even MORE screwed up than it already is.
More on that later.

First Post
This is me. Trying to find my way through my last year of middle school, growing up, and gettin' tall.
As of today, I'm only 5' 5 1/2" but, things are sure to change, so I'll keep you posted.
Who are YOU, anyway? Weird to think that at this point, I'm not really talking to anybody.
It's the summer now, so 8th Grade hasn't technically started, but expect much talk about my teachers, my projects, my friends (and not-so-friendly friends) , books that I read, and much more.
I intend to end every entry with a quote.
"Lord, what fools these mortals be."
